A wedding weekend at The Little Daisy Jerome feels like stepping into a dream that still stays warm, grounded, and deeply personal. Julianna and Andrew’s celebration was exactly that: intimate, intentional, joyful, and overflowing with beauty in every detail.
This wedding is especially meaningful to me because Julianna and Andrew reach out after I photographed her sister’s wedding. Since then, I have photographed four weddings in their family, and naturally, there is so much trust, comfort, and familiarity. They wanted a micro wedding with only their closest family and friends, and to turn it into a full weekend experience. That vision could not have been more perfect for this venue.

An Intimate Little Daisy Jerome Wedding with a Full Weekend Feel
Perched on a mountainside in Jerome, Arizona, just outside of Sedona, The Little Daisy Jerome overlooks a wide open valley that can stop you in your tracks. With multiple rooms and guest houses, the property allowed most of their immediate family to stay on site, which instantly made the weekend feel relaxed, communal, and unhurried.
Friday night kicked everything off with a welcome event on the lawn that set the tone for the entire celebration. Guests arrived dressed in all white, while the bride and groom wore red, and effortlessly, every single person understood the assignment. There was a paella chef, a live guitarist, and even a beer donkey wandering with baskets of beer. As the sun set over the valley, the night felt simple, joyful, and full of laughter. Julianna wore a custom dress by Nicole Castañeda, and then, when a tarantula appeared, she casually picked it up and posed. It is still one of my favorite bridal portraits I have ever taken.

A Relaxed Wedding Morning and Portraits at The Little Daisy
Saturday started slowly and intentionally with morning stretching on the rooftop. One of the things I love most about weddings here is the gift of space. Everyone was able to get ready on site without ever feeling crowded, which made the morning feel calm and easy. I photograph Julianna’s details against textured backdrops, using beautiful natural light to create depth and contrast.
As she reads a sweet note from Andrew, Julianna gets ready surrounded by her sisters and best friends. Because I had photographed their weddings before, the room felt comfortable and full of love. Their first look took place on the grassy rooftop where ceremonies are often held, and the wind created the most incredible veil movement. The architecture of the space allows for so much creative framing, and we spend nearly an hour taking portraits around the venue while still barely scratching the surface of all the possibilities.

A Catholic Ceremony at Chapel of the Holy Cross
For their ceremony, we headed to Chapel of the Holy Cross for a traditional Catholic wedding. Built directly into the red rock, the chapel feels unlike anything else. The smaller size of the church made the ceremony incredibly intimate and meaningful. Immediately after, we step outside into the golden sunset and capture wedding portraits with the red rock landscape glowing behind them.
Then it was time to return to the house for the reception. By the time we arrived, the space was glowing with fire pits, string lights, and candlelight. Dinner was served on the rooftop with vintage plates and glassware that added to the eclectic, colorful design. Heartfelt speeches were shared, champagne was poured, and the couple moved around the table greeting every guest.
The night ended with dancing, a saxophone player covered in sunflowers, and a late-night cake cutting. It was fun, emotional, and completely unforgettable.
